Reciting "ABC" back in our formative years was pretty fun. But I do recall that its easy to say "ABC" up to "K" but from "L,M,N...", we either say the wrong things or 'chew' our mouth and then get to "QRST..." before we become as confident as when we just started.
It is easy to begin the heavenly race, we're usually very vibrant at that early stage but somewhere along the line, it becomes almost unbearable. It becomes a struggle to pray, study the word of God, its like some things in Egypt keep craving our attention. We no longer want the sincere milk of the word like the manna from above but rather we want the cucumbers and garlic of Egypt. As a result, some people quit along the way while others work at it.
I don't know the struggles we might be having with our spiritual lives, but you can be rest assured that the grace has been made abundant for us to overcome. Remember that though we might have started well, what matters is we reaching the punchline. Things won't always be as easy as ABC but if we keep at it, by trusting and recognizing that His strength is made perfect in our weakness, then we can make it through the rest. keep pressing towards the mark for a prize of the higher calling, we shall get there.
