Have you been reading your bible hurriedly; not studying it per se but just reading for the sake of routine. You notice that as you read, your mind is elsewhere, the devil keeps telling you you have a lot of things to attend to. The trick of the devil is this: he doesn't want us to study the word to get the divine message embedded therein and if this continues repeatedly (which is his goal) we would find out that there'll be no word stored up within us to fight the thoughts, lies, suggestions and temptations. He doesn't want us to 'soak', 'digest' the word and apply it as a result we become drained and sapped of the little we had.
Watch out for his snares because our adversary, the devil, is not resting. Studying the Word of God is like our spiritual food; don't starve your spirit-man. Do not let the cares of this life choke the word from bearing fruit. It takes discipline and remember that a higher level of preparation is needed to get to the higher place God has purposed for His Children. Remain Blessed!!
His word is a lite 2 our path! We always need it.
